Smugglers' Notch is a ski resort area in the Town of Cambridge, Vermont. Its vertical drop of 2,610 feet is the third largest in Vermont and the fourth largest in all of New England. It is named after a narrow notch running adjacent to Sterling Mountain which many years ago smugglers used. Smugglers' Notch is nicknamed Smuggs and actually encompasses three mountains: Morse Mountain, Madonna and Sterling Mountains.
