*Price does not include tax and gratuity. All guests must be at least 21 years of age. Due to the preparation of food and the delicate nature of this experience, cancellations must be made at least 24-hours prior to your reservation to receive a refund. Cancellations made within 24-hours of your reservation will not be refunded.

About the Ledgewood Yurt Experience

The Ledgewood Yurt dining experience features family-style seating. Please specify the number in your party when making a reservation. A vegetarian menu is available upon request. While there is no charge, the chef requires a 24-hour notice regarding special dietary needs. Be sure to dress in winter casual attire with appropriate footwear for snow. All guests need to be 21 years of age and older. The sleigh departs the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar at 6:30 p.m. A selection of wine, beer and liquor is available at the Ledgewood Yurt.

Killington Resort reserves the right to cancel your reservation should any unforeseen circumstances arise including weather, mechanical or lack of reservations. While every effort will be made to give advance notice of cancellation, certain circumstances may allow for cancellations to be made by Killington Resort within 24-hours of your scheduled dinner time.

Directions to the Ledgewood Yurt

Coming from US Rt. 4 East/West or Rt. 100 North, turn onto Killington Road, drive approximately 5.5 miles up the road the K-1 Lodge parking lot. Park and walk to the left of the lodge. You will see the large yellow umbrellas of the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars & Deck.

How do I book dinner?

We are currently acception reservations for the 2011-12 winter season. Call 802-422-6998 to make your reservation. The Ledgewood Yurt is family-style seating, so please specify the number in your party when making a reservation.

What is a Yurt?

A Yurt is a "portable" structure much like those used by nomadic tribes in Mongolia over 2000 years ago. The domed, tent-like structure sits on top of a portable wooden frame to create an efficient shelter that is environmentally friendly. Despite their rustic appearance, today’s Yurts are quite high tech.

What if I have special dietary needs?

When making your reservation, please specify if you or anyone in your party has special dietary needs, including peanut allergy, vegetarian, vegan, etc. The chef requires a 24-hour notice regarding special dietary needs. There will be no change in the price.

Will there be a bar?

A wine, beer and liquor selection is available. Cash and major credit cards are accepted.

What is the time schedule?

6:00 p.m.Arrive at the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar for warm apple cider.
6:20 p.m.Begin to board the snowcat drawn sleigh.
6:30 p.m.Depart from the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar.
6:50 p.m.Arrive for dinner at the Ledgewood Yurt
9:30 p.m.Depart from the Ledgewood Yurt on the snowcat drawn sleigh.

Please be on time, the sleigh will leave the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar promptly at 6:30 p.m., no exceptions.

What if I’m running late?

The sleigh leaves the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar at 6:30 p.m., no exceptions.

What should I wear?

Winter casual with appropriate footwear for snow.

How long is the sleigh ride?

About 15-20 minutes one way, all guests will need to remain seated for the entire sleigh ride.

Are there any discounts available to dine at the Ledgewood Yurt?

Yes, we are offering a 15% discount on the Ledgewood Yurt when you book a vacation package at Killington Resort. When you book your package you will receive a discount code valid for 15% off the Ledgewood Yurt dining experience. Simply present your discount code when calling to make your reservation. Reservations for the Ledgewood Yurt must be made three days prior to arrival to take advantage of this offer.
